Bangabazar Assures Assistance To The Affected People
Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina told the media on April 5 that she will start the process of rehabilitating all the businesses affected by the fire in Dhaka Bangbazar and has assured that she will help them as per the support of the government.
The Prime Minister also expressed regret and ordered an investigation into the incident. Before this shopping mall was on fire, he wanted to make Bangabazar a newly developed market.
But some businessmen opposed him and expressed their displeasure over the attack on the fire service personnel on the day of the incident and warned that no one would be spared if they behaved in such an attack on the force protecting the public interest.
The culprits of this incident in Bangabazar will be brought to justice. On that day, the fire service personnel made proper efforts to extinguish the fire, but had to struggle to reach the spot. There was no road to the spot of fire in the market, so the rescue was delayed.
