Dhaka Metrorail Have Been Opened 9 Stations of The First Phase
The passenger service of Dhaka Metrorail has been further improved in a major project of Bangladesh Awami League Government's.
Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the most popular Metrorail has opened all the stations of the first phase of the Metrorail in anticipation of Eid.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the first elevated metro rail in Bangladesh on December 28 last year, setting a milestone in the country's communication history.
Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina unveiled the plaque of the 11.73 km section of Mass Rapid Transit MRT Line-6 of Metrorail project from Uttara Diabari to Agargaon in the city.
All the 9 stations of the first phase of Metrorail were opened last Friday ,March 31, at 8:30 in the morning,The rest of these two stations will stop passengers boarding and alighting at all the stations from now on.

The trains will run from 8 am to 2 pm from April 5 and will continue from dawn to midnight from July. Since the start of this dream journey on a limited scale last December, the scope of the metro rail has been increasing. Although the journey started with two, now only 9 stations of the first phase are operational.
By doing this, passengers can take the service of this modern transportation facility from all the stations as it was launched on Friday, March 31, the last two stations of this route Sheorapara and Uttara Madhya station will run as usual from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The authorities of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited DMTCL had earlier said that they plan to open the first phase i.e. Uttara to Agargaon section of Noti Station in March.
Currently, Metrorail services are available from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Initially, the Metrorail service will run for four hours every day. The time will be extended depending on how passengers get used to the new mode of public transport.
