Boycott the vote in favor of people's rights and democratic principles.

Assalamu Alaikum...

Dear countrymen,

Boycott the vote against illegal elections

The foundation of democracy is transparent, participatory and credible elections. But when a government chooses to remain in power without the genuine consent of the people, that process is no longer democratic.

There is no room to ignore the questions and doubts that have arisen across the country about the elections held under the current Dr. Yunus government.

In this so-called election process,

• Lack of equal opportunities,

• Obstruction of freedom of expression,

• Allegations of suppression of opposition views,

• and lack of impartiality—

These issues have clearly eroded the trust of the people. As a result, exercising the right to vote has become meaningless for many here.

Boycotting the vote is not a disorder; rather, it is a peaceful democratic protest. It has been seen many times in history that people have made their position clear by boycotting the vote in demand for free and fair elections. This is not against the state or society—it is a moral stand against injustice.

We believe that the real solution will come only when

• elections are held under a neutral administration,

• equal participation of all political parties is ensured,

• and the people can vote without fear.

•

Until that day comes, we are calling for a peaceful boycott of the vote, standing on behalf of the people. Our goal is to restore democracy—not a transfer of power, but to establish the true rights of the people.

We want healthy, true elections under a caretaker government with the participation of the Awami League and all parties

To sustain democracy in Bangladesh, free, fair and credible elections with the participation of all are necessary.

Only an election with the participation of all political parties, including the Awami League, and not any one party, can reflect the true verdict of the people.

In the current reality, the most effective way to restore the trust of the people is elections under a neutral caretaker government. Because—

• the impartiality of the administration is ensured

• a level playing field is created for all parties

• voters can vote without fear

• the results of the election are accepted

We do not want a conflict of power, we want the dignity of the people's vote.  All political parties, including the Awami League, must play a responsible role in the interests of democracy.

Regardless of party affiliation, everyone must sit at the same table and reach a consensus on an acceptable electoral system.

Sustainable democracy is not possible without true elections.

Therefore, we have only one demand—

👉 We want true and impartial elections under the caretaker government, with the participation of the Awami League and all parties.

There is no provision for a “yes vote” or referendum in the current constitution of Bangladesh. Yet, this election is being organized in a one-sided and questionable process without giving the people the opportunity to know their true opinions. Where there is no opportunity for a yes-no vote, how can the demand for obtaining the people’s consent be legitimate?

This so-called election

• does not reflect the people’s opinions,

• is in conflict with the democratic spirit of the constitution,

• and is suffering from a crisis of acceptability.

Therefore, participating in this illegal election means legitimizing injustice. Boycotting the vote is not a disorder here—it is a silent protest by a conscious citizen.

 Come, dear countrymen—

👉 Let's boycott this illegal election without a true democratic system, including a yes-no vote.

👉 Let's unite for the people's right to vote and true democracy.
